Nanomedicine research started exploring the combination of therapy and diagnostics, so-called theranostics, to offer a more flexible care with improved outcome. As magnetic nanoparticles show great potential in many diagnostic therapeutic applications, they are prime candidates be used theranostic setting. This perspective gives an overview state-of-the-art nanoparticle-based imaging techniques applications discusses their opportunities challenges. To address these challenges exploit fullest, we provide three promising directions. The first considers novel field sequences, utilizing rich dynamics particles, which boost capabilities applications. Secondly ,we introduce concept smart theranostics based on feedback mechanisms between particle supporting procedure enhance performance both allow real-time monitoring treatment efficiency. Finally, how data-driven models could handle platform's large amount data decision support algorithms. latter track also includes hybrid physics-based combined overcome limited data, as well uncover unknown nanoparticle dynamics. Contrasting other literature, mainly focuses developing right characteristics, put forward advances enable use broader range theranostics. We encourage researchers investigate aspects advance clinical environments.
